Breastfeeding support in NEPA: Be Well NEPA

Breastfeeding is a beautiful way to nourish your baby, but it is also extremely challenging, time consuming, and daunting ! That's where Be Well NEPA comes in. We offer a variety of breastfeeding services to help you and your baby succeed, from prenatal education to in-home support.

Prenatal education

Our prenatal education classes cover all the basics of breastfeeding, from latching and positioning to troubleshooting common problems. We also discuss how to achieve help when it is not going how you want it too and how to mold your goals to best fit your life.

In-hospital or in-home support

Once your baby arrives, we can provide in-hospital or in-home support to help you get breastfeeding off on the right foot. Our lactation consultants can assess your latch and positioning, offer tips for troubleshooting common problems, and help you establish a feeding routine.

Pumping guidance

Pump selection, flange fitting, and pump schedules are no easy task. We can teach you how to use a breast pump effectively and efficiently. We can also help you develop a pumping schedule that works for you and your baby. Preparing to go back to work? We understand that too, we got you.

Bottle feeds

If you choose to supplement with formula or bottle feed exclusively, we can help you learn how to do so in a way that protects your milk supply. We can also teach you how to combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding, if desired.

Weaning support

When you're ready to wean, we can help you develop a plan that works for you and your baby. We can also offer support and guidance during the weaning process.
